Strong return on investment and an automated operation: get to know the Handover franchise.
A category Handover invented: a locker with integrated electronics and software that can be rented from the Handover app — the doors open from the app, and the rental is paid there too.
Search for “Handover” in your phone’s app store, or click here to go straight to the App Store or Google Play.
Download the app, sign up and confirm by email. Then find the luggage locker on the map, check the sizes and prices, choose how to pay and tap “Rent now”: the rental starts immediately.
On the app’s main screen, tap the GPS button in the top right corner to sync the map with your location, and pick the nearest point. Before paying, check that the address in the app is the one you are at.
In the app itself, by credit card or PIX, at the moment of the rental. For accounts opened with a passport, PIX is not available.
The app does not take reservations, but you can start the rental moments before arriving to secure availability. Always check the opening hours of the location: Handover is not responsible (and does not refund) for situations such as not being able to reach the point, belongings that do not fit the size chosen, or the venue being closed within the hours stated.
Prices vary with the size of the door and the length of use. To see them, open the app, pick the luggage locker and tap “Rent”: the prices appear before you confirm.
As soon as you finish the rental steps and tap “Rent now”: the amount for the chosen period is charged right away.
For as long as it makes sense for you: a few hours while you are out, a full day, a week of travel, or a few weeks for those on a longer trip. You choose the period in the app, and if you need more time you can extend it right there.
Absolutely. Just sign up with your passport details. In that case PIX is not available: use a credit card.
You choose the size of the door (if one is available), but not the position: doors are released in order of availability.
Besides the smart luggage lockers, there are accredited counter points: partner venues where an attendant takes your belongings and keeps them in a reserved area. The rental and the payment happen in the app just the same — on the map, these points are marked as counter. In this format, respect the venue’s opening hours to drop off and collect your items.
Yes. The luggage lockers have an alarm system and 24-hour security cameras, and the system records who accessed each compartment and when.
Check that nothing is blocking it (a backpack strap caught in the door, for instance), that your phone has internet, and, if you are starting the rental, that you are at the address shown in the app. If none of that solves it, reach our support from the app: we are available every day from 7am to 11pm.
Sizes vary, and not all of them are available in every region. To check, open the app, select the nearest luggage locker and see the sizes on offer.
Yes. While the rental is active (within the time you paid for), open it in the app and extend it there.
For safety, the system locks the luggage locker for 30 minutes after the end. During that window, a new rental takes you back to the same locker; after it, the door is released to other users, and Handover is not responsible for belongings left in the compartment.
No. The Handover account is personal and non-transferable: every user needs their own.
